Aftercare

The extra care and support we offer families does not end after the service. We understand that when a loss occurs, the healing process may not begin right away. Often, you or another family member needs support in dealing with the strong emotions of grief, loss, and bereavement. We’re here to help.

We offer:

  • Our monthly “CareLetter” to assist you through the first year of bereavement
  • Referrals to counselors, emotional health professionals and grief support groups
  • Helpful literature and other resources on grief and bereavement
  • Holiday remembrance services and other community events, such as our Easter Sunrise services at Paradise Memorial Gardens and Mausoleum and Mountain Meadows Memorial Park, Christmas memorial services at Messinger Payson Funeral Home, and Memorial Day and Veterans Day remembrances at several of our locations.
  • Special events such as Apple Basket Day that takes place the first week of every December at Messinger Indian School Mortuary. Participants give their time to fill baskets will fruits, nuts, and other snacks and distribute them to fire and police stations; hospitals, hospices, and nursing homes and parishes and convents throughout the Northeast Valley.
