Mildred Lorene Corzine
Mildred Corzine was born in a small town in Southern Illinois in 1916 to Arlie and Elsie Woodard. Mildred had two brothers, Russell and Carl Woodard who preceded her in death. Mildred’s sister-in-law Carmen resides in Arizona and her sister-in-law Mary Ann resides in Southern Illinois.
Mildred was married to Gilbert Corzine in 1941 and spent nearly 60 years together before his death in September of 2000. As an Air Force wife Mildred went with Gilbert to most of his US bases and even did one tour in France after World War II. When Mildred and Gilbert were stationed at Luke AFB after the war they developed a true love of the desert life. Later they would return when Gilbert was stationed at Williams AFB. After retirement Mildred and Gilbert made Payson, Arizona their home.
Mildred and Gilbert’s daughter Debbie Zamrok was born in Belleville, Illinois and currently resides in California.
Mildred has four nieces Judy and Peggy who both reside in Illinois, Pamela who resides in Arkansas, and Patricia who resides in Arizona.
Funeral arrangements are being made by Messinger Mortuary in Scottsdale.
Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, February 17, 2010 at 10 A M. At Messinger Indian School Mortuary, 7601 E. Indian School Rd, Scottsdale, AZ
Interment to follow immediately after service at East Rest Haven Cemetery in Phoenix, AZ.
