Edna Frances Barcom, 90, passed away February 21, 2010 in Payson, Arizona. She was born January 6, 1920 in Parma, Missouri to Martin Miley and Sarah Lane Miley.
Edna married Louis Barcom September 24, 1939 in Osceola, Arkansas. He preceded her in death as well as a daughter, Linda Kay Barcom.
She is survived by her husband of 12 years, Bernard G. Locke, her children, Charles Barcom of Blytheville, Arkansas, Bonnie (Benny) Powers, of Searcy, Arkansas, Gary (Linda) Barcom of Payson, Arizona, Roxie (Terry) Hyde of Memphis, Tennessee, Carol (David) Galbraith of Chandler, Arizona and Gayla (Jim) Smith of Chandler, Arizona, 18 grandchildren, 38 great-grandchildren, and 8 great-great-grandchildren.
Edna was a long time member of New Harmony Baptist Church in Manila, Arkansas where she and Louis farmed and raised their children until 1960 when they moved to Chandler, Arizona. Then in the early 90's they retired and moved to Payson. She wed Mr. Bernard Locke in 1997 and they continued to make Payson their home.
A service was held Thursday, February 25, 2010 at the Payson Church of Christ and she was laid to rest at Valley of the Sun Mortuary & Cemetery in Chandler, Arizona. The family has requested that donations may be made to Payson Church of Christ, 401 E. Tyler Parkway, Payson, Arizona 85541
