Benjamin Franklin Brooner age 84 of Payson, Arizona went to be with his Lord and saviour on February 3rd, 2018 at the Payson Care Center in Payson, Arizona. He had been living with COPD for several years and recently developed additional health issues, including several strokes.
Ben was born in Oklahoma February 5, 1933 to Levi H. Brooner and Lizzy Marie Click, the middle child of five. Ben was a fun loving man who fished and hunted in his younger days, and enjoyed bowling as a hobby. Ben enjoyed helping others and was as involved as he could be in the community, helping with Time Out, a thrift store operated by a local charity. He loved Jesus and particularly enjoyed spreading His word.
He was preceded in death by half-brothers Sam and Owen as well as both of his parents, brothers Raymond and Jim, and sisters Irene and Jewel.
He leaves behind his beloved wife of 64 years Ginger (Henry) Brooner, Daughters Joy Dickey and Robin Griggs, son Rusty Brooner, all three of Payson, and son Dennis Brooner of Phoenix, Az.
He also leaves 9 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.
There will be a memorial service Saturday, February 17th, 2018 at 11:00 am at the Ponderosa Bible Church in Payson, AZ.
