Elizabeth A. Jones, beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, of Phoenix, Arizona, passed away peacefully in the presence of her loving husband on October 4, 2018 at the age of 85. Born December 11, 1932 in Columbus, Indiana to John Dale and Dorothy Mae Stevens, Elizabeth grew up and lived in Indianapolis until moving to Phoenix in 1980. She graduated from Southport High School in 1950 and attended St. Louis Institute of Music. Elizabeth married her high school sweetheart, Thomas J. Jones, on February 2, 1951. She was an accomplished pianist and loved music. She was a member of Southport Chapter, Order of the Eastern Star, and served as Mother Advisor of Southport Assembly No. 10, International Order of Rainbow for Girls, for more than a decade. Elizabeth was a member of Southport Presbyterian Church in Indianapolis where she served as church secretary, and Valley Presbyterian Church in Phoenix. She was a member of the Arizona Rough Riders family jeep club and enjoyed traveling. She devoted her life to loving and caring for her husband and family, as well as her beloved puppies.
