Janet Sue LaBron Mangelsdorf, 73, of Scottsdale, Arizona, died peacefully on July 6, 2019 after a long battle with Alzheimer’s.
She will be remembered for her cheerful, loving, giving nature, along with her ability to care deeply for those who were fortunate to cross her path or be a part of her life.
Janet was born on March 8, 1946 in Fremont, Nebraska to Arlene Hull Behrens and Arthur (Art) Behrens. She grew up on a farm, and carried her mid-west kindness and wisdom with her beyond Nebraska, into her family, her home, and her business as a Shaklee distributor. A resident of Arizona for over 35 years, she is survived by her husband of over 30 years, Daniel Mangelsdorf of Sun City; her son Michael LaBron of Phoenix; her daughter Wendy LaBron and grandsons Anthony Porco and Evan Porco of Boston, MA; her step-daughter and step-son, Corey Tsonis and Dennis Tsonis of Phoenix, and step-grandchildren, Leah Tsonis of Phoenix and Cole Tsonis of Sacramento, CA.
A memorial service is planned for Saturday, September 14, 2019 at 10:30 a.m. at La Casa De Christo Lutheran Church at 6300 E. Bell Road, Scottsdale, Arizona.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Alzheimer’s Association at alz.org.
