Larry Josephson, loving husband, father and friend, passed away at the age of 73 on Sunday evening, August 25. Larry was born and grew up in Rochester, NY, the son of Abe and Esther Josephson. He graduated from Syracuse University and earned an MBA from The Wharton School at Penn. He had a successful career in finance and banking in Philadelphia and New York before becoming an entrepreneur with a retail art and framing business in the Washington, DC area. Larry and his wife Janet married in 1991 (after dating for 10 years) and have a cherished son Zach who is now living and working in Washington, DC. Larry and Janet relocated to Scottsdale from the East Coast in 2006. He loved his life here, where he focused on his woodworking, improving his golf game, and making many wonderful friends. Those of you who knew Larry will remember him for his gentle nature and his wit. He had a joke for every occasion and could always make us laugh. Above all in life, Larry cherished his family and his friends. A Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, September 1, at 3pm at the Messinger Funeral Home, 8555 E Pinnacle Peak Rd, Scottsdale. Reception to follow at The Country Club at DC Ranch. If you plan to attend the reception at DC Ranch, please RSVP to email@example.com. Country Club attire is appropriate – we suggest that men do not wear a suit or sport jacket, it is just too hot! In lieu of flowers, we suggest a donation to the American Cancer Society, The Hospice of the Valley or a charity that is meaningful to you.
