Margaret Mary Scadron

February 10, 1943 ~ November 30, 2018 (age 75)

Margaret Mary Scadron, 75, beloved wife, mother and sister. She was called into the hands of the Lord on Friday, November 30, 2018, to live on in eternal Peace with loving family at her side. She was the first of seven children, all still living except brother Chester.  Margaret was born February 10, 1943 in Welland, Canada to the late father Chester Ufnal and mother Geneva (Jenny) Plaus Ufnal.  Margaret graduated Toronto Teacher's College receiving a Comprehensive All-grades teaching degree and blessed the lives of many children, where she taught, in both Toronto, Canada as well as later, in the United States. She moved permanently to the United States in 1969 after her marriage to Peter Scadron on December 12, 1969 in Canada and eventually became a dual citizen of both countries. After many years in New Jersey and Lake Forest, IL, with a career as a designer and florist, she relocated to Scottsdale, AZ.  Margaret lived life to the fullest, spending time with family on holidays, hosting spectacular social gatherings, spending weekends in Strawberry, AZ and volunteering and serving at many hospitals in Scottsdale. She eventually settled permanently at their cabin atop the Magollen Rim, (Arizona's' high country) in Strawberry, AZ, where at home she shared her passion for gardening, nature, cooking, baking and love of animals. She leaves behind her rescued and beloved dog Pax, which means “Peace”, with whom she shared an unbreakable and very special bond. She kept in touch with her extended family and those who loved her around the world.

Margaret met her many health challenges and long-term Cancer battle with sweetness, courage, strength and kindness during her too short life. She inspired the lives of all those around her and her Graceful spirit carries on forever in our hearts. She will be remembered most for her bravery, intelligence, determination and her passion for kindness to others. Cheers to a life well lived.

Margaret had one child and is survived by her daughter Stephanie Finnegan, Glendale, AZ, her step-children, grandchildren, her five brothers and sisters and her former husband of 49 years Peter Scadron, Strawberry, AZ...
