Morris Doctor better known as DOC from Poor Boys General, Payson Arizona, went to be with the lord on the morning of June 26, 2018. While driving home, on Houston Mesa Road, he suddenly experienced a fatal heart attack causing his truck to crash head on into a tree.
He is survived by his companion and partner of 20 years, Joann Cobb and the Poor Boys family. Doc was born in Rago, Kansas Nov. 30, 1943. He attended Business College and started his own trucking company, he was also a Rancher, counting cows. Then he opened a hamburger joint in Borger, Texas, flipping burgers. He also opened a warehouse in Lubbock, Texas, selling restaurant equipment.
Doc came to Payson Arizona in 1998 and started his own construction company, Poor boys General Remodeling, Inc., bringing employment opportunity to the people of Payson. He was a very kind, generous and trusting man who helped people get back on their feet and believe in themselves. He left foot prints of courage and compassion, joy and faith, kindness and love that continues to inspire us.
A Celebration of his life will be held at Messinger Funeral Home, on Saturday July 14, 2018. Services will be held in the chapel at 1PM and join us for Refreshments in the community room until 4 PM.
