Oley P. Skattebo passed away November 12, 2018 at Payson Care Center after a fall a month earlier. Born June 5, 1936 in Valders, Wisconsin to Ted and Alice Skattebo, Oley lived in Milwaukee until his retirement when he and his wife Louise moved to Payson.
Oley was an intelligent man known for his role with the Apollo space program. He was best known for telling humorous stories to family and friends. In fact, gatherings with him in Wisconsin were known as Oleyfest.
Oley is survived by his first wife Betty; daughter Chris (Mark), sons Steve (Kris), Mark and Eric (Jean); 12 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren; and brother Earl. He is predeceased by his second wife Louise; and by his parents and 3 sisters.
