Ricardo Ramos died peacefully in his home in Scottsdale, AZ on July 7th, 2019 at the age of 68. He married his wife, Arely, in 1975 and together they raised three kids: Claudia, Rick, and David. After moving to Scottsdale from the San Francisco Bay Area in 2009, he continued his 40-year career as an electromechanical engineer. When he was not watching soccer nor travelling, Ricardo would spend much of his free time helping friends and family with home improvement projects.
As an avid movie buff, Ricardo enjoyed watching all genres of film, frequently quoting the lines of several of his movie idols, like Arnold Schwarzenegger, Mel Brooks, and Clint Eastwood (whom Ricardo would refer to as “Saint Clint”). He will be remembered best for his quick and often irreverent sense of humor and positive outlook, as he kept people laughing even during the last days of his life.
Ricardo also leaves behind a loving family in his siblings: Ana Elena, Juan, Gladys, Sonia; his brother-in-law, Rodrigo; his extended family in the San Francisco Bay Area; and two grandchildren all of whom will miss him dearly.
Ricardo’s wife and children would like to extend their gratitude towards his family and his friends for their prayers and support during his final days.
