A llama event at his assisted living community resulted in the internationally-notorius “Llama Drama” that held the nation’s attention for two days in 2015. Richard proudly served in the United States Air Force during the Korean War, and was an active member of the Knights of Columbus, where he became a Fourth Degree Knight. Richard is also known as “Sir Knight Richard Falkenberg.” Richard was preceded in death by his wife Lorraine (Kinzig) Falkenberg, his Parents Harry and Alma (Saum) Falkenberg, and his brother Daniel Falkenberg. He is survived by nieces, nephews & cousins, and many, many friends he has made during his life. A funeral mass will be held, Dec 6, 2018 at 9:30 am at The Franciscan Renewal Center 5802 E Lincoln Dr, Scottsdale AZ 85253 with a small reception afterwards.
