Roy D. Wasmer Jr. April 14, 1935-March 18th, 2018
Roy was born & raised in Kansas City, Missouri. He enlisted in the US Navy in 1955, honorably discharged in 1957. He married his wife Armande (Amy) in August 1957. Together they had 4 children.
In 1978 they moved to Salt Lake City, Utah. He was an avid Kansas City Chiefs & Royals fan. He loved golf, fishing, cooking & spending time with family.
He was a parishioner at the Cathedral of the Madeline where he served as an usher & spent time singing with the choir. He was also a faithful member of The Knights of Columbus.
In 2010, Roy & Amy moved to Scottsdale, Arizona.
Roy was kind, very patient & understanding, a loving husband, father, brother, grandfather & uncle. He would do anything to help his family & friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents, son Donnie & nephew Brent.
Survived by his wife of 60 years Amy, daughter Jude (Mark), sons Chris & Scott, his best friend & brother Bob (Marlene), sisters Rita (Bob) & Janice (Mike), 7 grandchildren, 8 gr-grandchildren & many very special nieces, nephews, cousins & friends whom he loved all so much.
Roy was one of a kind & will truly be missed.
A memorial service will be held June 22nd @ 9:00am, Messinger Pinnacle Peak Mortuary 8555 e Pinnacle Peak Rd. Scottsdale, Az 85255. Interment following @ the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona
