On Sunday evening, November 15, 2020, Dale Robert Eaton, loving husband and father, passed away peacefully at the age of 80.
Born July 12,1940 at home in Sherman, New York to John and May Eaton, Dale was the second of five boys. Dale graduated high school from nearby Clymer Central School in 1958. He then joined the U.S. Army as part of the 101st Airborne Division in Fort Campbell, Kentucky where he was promoted to sergeant in only 4 years. During that time, he married his high school sweetheart Eileen Humphrey, with whom he built an everlasting marriage and they raised their daughter and son, Rochelle and Craig, in Findley Lake, New York. Dale attended Allegany Technical Institute in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and then was hired by the Xerox Corporation where he worked as a field service manager until 1983. He then picked up the family and moved to Phoenix, Arizona, where he purchased ATSCO Remanufacturing. The family business flourished for over 30 years under his exceptional leadership.
Dale had a passion for work, hot rods, drag racing and family. He made a friend out of everyone he met. His generosity was humbling and his sense of humor could light up a room. Dale lived by the motto, “The harder I work, the luckier I get”.
Dale was preceded in death by his parents, John and May, his brothers Jack and Steven, and his great granddaughter Mirayah. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Eileen Eaton, his daughter, Rochelle (Don Waller), his son, Craig (Diane Wiltsie Eaton), four grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren, along with his brothers Jim (Penny Eaton) and Tom Eaton.
Regrettably, due to Covid-19, there will only be a private family memorial at this time.
In lieu of flowers, donations to Alzheimer’s Association www.alz.org or Hospice of the Valley www.hov.org would be very appreciated in memory of Dale
