David Leroy Hansen was carried home by the Lord on October 11, 2021. He was born in Lake Crystal Minnesota on June 26, 1932. He moved with his family to Arizona in 1944 at the age of 12.
David (Dave) married Bobbie Lucille Wright, the love of his life, on November 7, 1952. They had three daughters, Debi Weber (Tom), Judy Hogue (Tom), and Sherri Hoffner (Darren), 7 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Dave is survived by his sister, Peggy Anderson.
He was greeted in Heaven by his wife Bobbie, his parents, Janus (James) and Rosie Hansen, Bobbie’s parents, Floyd and Dolly Wright, his brother James (Jim) Hansen, sisters Evelyn Wilkens, Maxine Fox, and grandson Steven Weber.
Dave’s truest joy came from his relationship with the Lord, and by his love and devotion to his wife, daughters, and entire family. He and Bobbie enjoyed traveling the world together. 21 summers of fishing prized halibut and salmon in Ketchikan Alaska was shared with family and friends. Dave enjoyed the outdoors by boating, fishing and hunting.
Dave’s father was an immigrant who came to America at the age of 17. Speaking only Danish, he found work as a stone mason. As a teenager, Dave followed in his father’s footsteps by starting his career in construction as a brick layer, often with Bobbie by his side as his tender. Through hard work, determination and a keen eye for hillside terrain he developed what became several prestigious luxury home sub-divisions. Always cutting edge in developing, designing and building both custom and spec estate homes of utmost quality. Known for his integrity, honesty and commitment, Dave developed lifelong friendships with many of his clients often building multiple homes for them over the years. Thus, even today Dave is respectfully referred to as a Legend in Paradise Valley.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 15, 2021 between 3:00 and 5:00 p.m. at Messinger Indian School Mortuary, 7601 E. Indian School Road, Scottsdale, Arizona
