Deborah Dunseath Blaich

October 12, 1931 ~ August 8, 2019 (age 87)

Deborah Dunseath Blaich, 87, of Scottsdale, passed away August 8, 2019 with her family by her side. Deborah was born October 12, 1931 in Los Angeles, CA to Wesley and Carmen Saenz Woodford.

Upon her parents divorce, she moved to Tucson, AZ and was adopted by her stepfather, James E. Dunseath. Deborah attended Tucson High School and the University of Arizona where she met George Earl Pottinger. They were wed and had five children. Not only was she a devoted wife and mother but a loyal friend. Her closest friends knew her as “Debbie” or “Deb” and described her as beautiful inside and out. She loved to cook for her family and was well known for her annual sit down formal luncheons in her home. An accomplished pianist, she loved attending the symphony, theater, and art museums. Most importantly, and truly the light of her life, were her children. Deborah is preceded in death by her husband, Charles J. Blaich and is dearly missed by her surviving children: Scott Pottinger (Locha), Kevin Pottinger (Anne), Christopher Pottinger, Cynthia Pottinger Spotleson (Lance), Patrick Pottinger, two stepdaughters (Linda and Janet), nine grandchildren, and four great grandchildren. A private funeral service was held at The Old Adobe Mission Catholic Church in Scottsdale.
