Gloria Laudonio, 85, of Scottsdale, AZ passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 2, 2020, at home surrounded by family. Gloria was born on April 11, 1935 in Brooklyn, NY to Dante and Josephine Baccarini. She was the eldest of two children and graduated Salutatorian from New Utrecht High School in Brooklyn, NY in 1953. In 1959, Gloria married the love of her life, Frank Laudonio, and they shared 61 years together. They were blessed with three children, Frank Jr., Laura, and Marc. She worked as the Executive Secretary to the Vice President of CBS before leaving the workforce to raise her children as family was always the utmost importance to her. When her children left home, she reentered the workforce and managed Frank’s OB/GYN practice.
Gloria’s devotion to her family and friends was easily recognizable. With her kind and gentle way, she greeted everyone with open arms and found the good in everyone she encountered. Her warm and welcoming embrace made everyone feel like family. Gloria also loved to cook. The only thing she loved more than cooking was feeding others. She also enjoyed the theater, traveling, playing bridge, and accompanying Frank to the casinos.
She will be loved and missed forever by her husband, Frank; three children Frank, Jr. (Sandra), Laura (William Kraus), and Marc; six grandchildren Nicholas, Maria, Julia, and Daniel Kraus and Lorelai and Gianluca Laudonio; sister Sandra (Richard Kovats); nieces Debbie Lattarulo Tinari, Donna Lattarulo Marrico, Dawn Lattarulo Lucchesi, Julie Kovats Ruighaver, and Dina Kovats Bernat; and nephew Steven Marino. Gloria’s love and kind heart will forever live on in each one of us.
