Loren Elvin Lagerquist, 79, of Scottsdale, Arizona, passed away peacefully on January 2nd, 2022. Loren was born March 21st, 1942, in Plentywood Montana, to Elvin and Mildred (Myars) Lagerquist. He was the eldest of three boys (Alton, John) and worked on the family farm and mine; graduating from Westby high school in 1960. He earned a bachelor's degree in accounting from the University of Montana in 1965 and passed the CPA exam in 1968. In 1975 he earned his master's degree in Human Resources from Utah and began his career as a CPA/Management Consultant.
Loren married his wife Donaleen Lininger in 1964; they were blessed with three daughters Darla, Danna and Dawn. Loren adored Donny and they had a true partnership in raising the girls and their many business adventures. Loren was most happy when he was hunting with his horses and in later years teaching his grandchildren life lessons and taking an interest in their passions.
Loren, preceded in death by his parents Elvin and Mildred and brother Alton, is survived by his wife Donny, daughters; Darla (Dean) of Scottsdale, Arizona, Danna of Chandler, Arizona and Dawn of Phoenix Arizona. His grandchildren Dani, Darci McMillan and Jack Moorer, his brother John (Sue) and sister-in-law Sharon (Alton), Uncle Junior, Aunt Adeline, several nephews, nieces, and numerous cousins.
When we think of Loren, honesty, integrity and the caring and loving way he treated each person he encountered are imprinted on our hearts. Above all else, he will be remembered for the love and devotion he expressed towards God, his wife, children and grandchildren. Loren loved spending time with his three grandchildren who called him Papa and he in turn affectionately called them by special names: big, big buddy (Dani), precious pal (Darci) and mighty man (Jack). He loved attending their activities, helping them grow and keeping them in his prayers. While he will be truly missed, we are so grateful for all the years we had with our beloved husband, father, grandfather, mentor, and friend.
A memorial service will be held at La Casa De Cristo Lutheran Church Memorial Gardens (6300 East Bell Road Scottsdale Arizona) on January 15th at 11 a.m.
