Service member specialist in the Army and honorably discharged. He fought a hard but quick battle with the evil Lung Cancer. He left while in the love of his life’s arms saying goodbye one last time. His entire life, till his last breath he was the definition of a true family man; first, last, and always. He rode off to meet with his Grandma (Deloris), aunts, uncles, cousins, several “brothers” and friends. Still here to carry on his memory and legacy is his loving wife of 40 years Teresa Marie Bales, Son Jason D. Burks, Grandson Jason Christopher (Lil’ Jason), Daughter Chelsie Nicole, grandchildren Madison Maire Rutherford and Braylon Ray Rutherford, parents Franklin and Faye Bales, sister Sheri Arbisi and family and numerous fiends and brothers. The day he was diagnosed, he reassured his loved ones he was going to kick cancers ass like all the rest of the battles he fought and won. He was always the rock and true strength of his family, even on his weakest days, he would never quit and always make us smile.
