OliveJean Fedrigon Yannes, 87, of Scottsdale, AZ passed away on January 24, 2020 peacefully in her sleep. OliveJean was born on October 13, 1932 in Nuremberg, PA. Her daughter, Catherine and her son-in-law, Richard Schoonmaker, from Scottsdale, AZ and her son, Lawrence R., Jr. and her daughter-in-law, Suzie Yannes from San Francisco, CA, two grandson's, Matthew L. Schoonmaker from San Francisco, CA and Patrick B. Schoonmaker from Salt Lake City, Utah, as well as numerous nieces and nephews survive OliveJean. Her husband, Lawrence, and her daughter Michelle precede her in death. After graduating from Bloomsburg State College, OliveJean began her teaching career in 1954 in Collegeville, PA and continued to teach First grade in the New Fairfield School District at Consolidated School until her retirement in 1999. She touched many young minds during her career in Pennsylvania and in New Fairfield, Connecticut, where she and her husband, Lawrence resided for 40 years before retiring and moving to Scottsdale, AZ. She was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Scottsdale, AZ. On the request of the family, there will be a celebration of life in June.
