Ralph McGrath, age 84 of Scottsdale, passed away on November 9, 2022 surrounded by his loved ones. Ralph was born in Chicago on November 8, 1938 and is survived by his loving wife of 40 years Kathy; beloved daughter Terry (Alan); son Dennis (Jaclyn); 4 grandchildren Jeffery (Kaleigh), Brian (Emily), Stephanie, and Noah; 3 great grandchildren Liam, Connor and Safira.
After being discharged from the Army, Ralph (RJ) moved to Scottsdale and began his career in Real Estate. Ralph was an avid golfer, traveler and football fan. He was a great horse handicapper and loved the racetrack. He gained this passion growing up, from his uncles, and carried on the family tradition. His greatest gamble though, was when he bet on himself, as a land developer. Ralph purchased and successfully developed land, bringing homes and careers to the state he loved. RJ’s crowning project was in White Hills, Arizona, well before the Hoover Dam Bypass Bridge was finished. He brought utilities and roads to the homes he built at an affordable price. Ralph was truly a visionary.
A Memorial Service will be held at Messinger Pinnacle Peak Mortuary on Wednesday, November 30th at 2:00pm.
In lieu of flowers, please donate to the Wounded Warrior Project.
