Robert “Bob” Bruce Ball, beloved and devoted husband, father, and friend, passed away Sunday, January 12, 2020 in Phoenix, Arizona at the age of 75.
Bob was born on October 13th, 1944 in Billings, Montana. He grew up in the small community of Lodge Grass, Montana, where he attended Lodge Grass High School and went on to achieve his bachelor’s degree in architecture from Montana State University. He was drafted into the U.S. Armed Forces, ultimately being honorably discharged as an E5 in the Army. He moved to Arizona in 1970, where he met and married his wife of 47 years, Melanie Ball, in 1973. He then went on to establish his own architecture firm, Ball Architects, which he owned and operated until his passing. Throughout his life, Bob was an avid sailor, aviator, hunter, reader, and lover of all things architecture and design.
He is preceded in death by his parents Frank and Mabel, as well as his brothers Rodger, John, and Calvin “Jack.” He is survived by his wife Melanie, his twin children Robert and Velva, as well as many more dear family and friends.
