Sunday, February 9, 2020 Rosa M. Quintero at the age of 85 was reunited with her loving husband Elias Quintero, in the comfort of her own home surrounded by her family.
Rosa was born on January 25, 1935 in Casa Grande, Arizona. She was 1 out of 11 born from Flora and Pedro Medina. She grew up in Phoenix, Arizona where she worked for a short period of time in the fields before meeting her life partner Elias. Rosa had devoted herself in raising all her children and taking care of all her grandchildren. Rosa provided great life lessons to her family, like we are not defined by blood, everyone is family, and that every event no matter how small it was, was important. She pushed her family to reach for the stars. And in her vocabulary “can’t” was not a word and quitting was not an option. Rosa was strong minded, strong willed, straight forward, passionate, devoted and above all a loving Mother/Nana. She lived a long joyous life in which she dedicated to her family.
Rosa is survived by her 6 children Danny (Awilda), Patsy (Roland), Elias (Rosa), Gilbert (Bobbie), James (Rosa), Nancy (Edgar), her 14 grandchildren and her 35 great grandchildren. Rosa is accompanied in her new travels with her Husband Elias Quintero and Great Grandson Daiman Rodriguez
The funeral service will be held on Thursday, February 13, 2020 at Messinger Indian School Mortuary. Visitation will be held at 11am to 12pm. Mass will be at 12pm to 1pm then escorted to the Cemetery.
