Daniel T. Kealey, 81, went peace-fully to Our Lord on January 24, 2018. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Shirley (McLaughlin); his four daughters, Barbara (John) Cahill, Karen (Len) Lesperance, Sharon (John) Gilloon, and Julie (Craig) Forster, and by his brother, Robert (Carol); his sister, Mary Dascomb; and 11 grandchildren.
Dan was born in Pasadena, California. He served in the United States Army, stationed in Carson, Iowa protecting Nike missile sites at Offutt Air Force Base. Together with his brother he owned Kealey’s TV located on Colorado Blvd. where he and Shirley also hosted many New Year’s viewings of the Pasadena Tournament of Roses Parade. Dan coached his daughter Julie’s Little League soft-ball team, taught a course at Pasadena Community College and tirelessly served his Church and local community.
In 2002 Dan and Shirley retired and moved to Payson, AZ. Dan continued to boat, fish, hunt, and travel and he remained active in Woodhill HOA, the Classic Car Club, The Society of St. Vincent de Paul, and the Knights of Columbus. He will be missed by all.
Mass of Christian Burial was held at St. Philip the Apostle Church in Payson, Arizona on Thursday, February 1.
