Suzanne Lugert Sheridan, of Payson, Arizona, passed away on February 27, 2018. Suzanne was born in Youngstown, New York (1947) and, in 1976, earned her Associates degree in Applied Science in Nursing with distinction from Niagara County Community College. She later moved to Arizona where she became a registered nurse and, in 1993, she earned her Bachelors of Science degree, Cum Laude, from Arizona State University.
While living in Arizona, Suzanne was an ardent rider and horsewoman and fell in love with her first horse, Ricks Lacy Lady. She loved the desert and nature; she was an amateur bird watcher, a worldly traveler, and enjoyed communicating with friends and family on her computer.
Suzanne was proud of and deeply loved her family and her animals, and was passionate about education and community service. She was a beloved wife, mother, friend, mother-in-law, grandmother, and great-grandma.
Suzanne is survived by her husband, William “Mike” Sheridan; brother, James Lugert (wife Patricia); two daughters, Terri Porter (husband George) and Sue Haan (husband Paul); four grandchildren, Christopher Porter (wife Melissa), Lindsey M. Evenson (husband Wyatt), Carter Haan, and Blake Haan; and two great-grandchildren, Rylee and Brayden Porter.
Memorial service will be held at Payson United Methodists Church on March 17, 2018, at 4:00pm MST, 414 N Easy Street, Payson, AZ 85541.w
