Carmen Celina Bartolomei- October 14, 1934 - January 6, 2022
Written by Mariano Bartolomei - Husband
The dusk of this date has entered our windows and the mantle of night has begun to spread its shades and shadows like a silent stain.
Behind the normal peace, gentle motions stir… murmurs of prayers while pages turn. Stifled sobs. Whispered directions among one family.
Celina is the name carried by the breeze. Carmen Celina Bartolomei from Camuy, Puerto Rico. Mother, Grandmother, Sister, Wife and friend for each and every year that she spent on this earth. A registered Nurse and Teacher… known as a gracious comforter to strangers and her kin whenever she was needed.
My Celina. We met and married in our teens; 70 years together this past November. We made friends on every continent- and her smile is what was most remembered by all, because that was what held her heart and soul.
It held all of MY heart and soul.
Te amo, mi Celina.
