Larry Gene Hesselbein passed away in the early hours of January 15th, 2023 at his home in Star Valley, Arizona. Larry was born in Amarillo, Texas on June 5th, 1948 to Jeanette Hesselbein Hodges and Gene Hesselbein. The family all moved to Phoenix in the '70's where Gene started an air conditioner business. Larry went to Stephen F. Austin state college in Nacogdoches, Texas. He met his future wife, Linda, in Tempe Arizona. They lived in the East Valley of Arizona, Louisiana, and parts of Texas in the early years while raising their daughter Jennifer Hesselbein. Later in life they finally settled back in Arizona. Over the years Larry travelled the world working on generators and turbines for businesses and countries. He also spent time working on oil derricks in the gulf. He also worked for and retired from Honeywell in the Phoenix valley. Larry is preceded in death by his wife, father, mother, and brother. He is survived by his daughter Jennifer. Larry had friends all around the country and he had a close group of friends in the community he lived in in Star Valley. He was well known for sitting on the front porch and waving to all who passed his house and accepting to all who waved back. A man of few words and a great listener, he was a kind man with few needs and desires except insisting we all do what what makes us happy. If anything mechanical needed fixing everyone knew Larry could make it work again. Larry passed peacefully in the home he shared with his girlfriend Sarah at his side after a great vacation together. Larry's wish was to be home and his loved ones made that happen for him. He will be truly missed by everyone that new him, but he also will no longer be struggling. We love you Larry.
