Mark Vincent MacKay, 60, of Scottsdale, AZ passed away peacefully on April 30th, 2022 with his siblings by his side. Mark was born on January 27, 1962 in Oak Park, IL to John and Julia MacKay. He was the eldest of five children and graduated from Casa Grande High School (Petaluma, CA) in 1979. Mark continued to live in Petaluma and the Santa Rosa, CA area for many years. He was injured in a motorcycle accident when he was 19, resulting in a traumatic brain injury. Mark moved to Scottsdale, AZ in 2008. He was an avid motorcycle and muscle car enthusiast, with his favorite car being the Dodge Charger with Hemi motor. He was a dedicated enthusiast of the weekly Rock & Roll Car Show at the Scottsdale Pavillions. Mark was also a music lover, attending many live concerts with his sister Katie. His favorite band was ZZ Top. Mark’s favorite gathering place was The Hideaway in Cave Creek where he shared many stories and laughs with friends and family. He was known for his gregarious personality and wonderful sense of humor. Mark had no descendants but was devoted to his immediate family and is survived by his four siblings: sisters Marie and Katie, brothers Stephen and Bryan, and nephews Beckett and Wyatt. A Memorial Service will be held to celebrate Mark at Saint Maria Goretti Catholic Church in Scottsdale on Friday, May 13th at 10 a.m.
